Desert Tortoises & Other Tortoise Species

Observe and care for one of the largest breeding collections of desert and exotic tortoises in Arizona. Students study reptile behavior, conservation, and natural habitat management while learning how to be faithful stewards of God’s creatures.

Freshwater Ponds

Explore the biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems in our freshwater ponds. These outdoor labs are home to amphibians, fish, invertebrates, and aquatic vegetation—offering experiential learning in ecology, water chemistry, conservation, and wetland biology.
